Limited Power Engineer Information

 

The information provided below applies to Refrigeration Operators, Fireman's, Oilfiled, Commercial and Traction certifications.

Please note: In addtion to obtaining your Limited Power Engineer Certificate, you must also hold a valid licence if you want to work as an operator in Saskatchewan. Licences are valid for five years.

 

Exam Syllabus Information

Exam syllabus’ are available for your information below. The Syllabus is intended to assist you in preparing for the exam. It outlines the recommended body of knowldege required to write the exam.

Traction

These exams are multiple choice. The pass mark for all exams is 65%.

 

Exam Schedule

Limited Power Engineer exams are held on a regular basis in Regina and Saskatoon. You may write any one of the following exams at a Limited Power Engineer exam session:

  • Refrigeration Operator's ($50)
  • Firemans ($50)
  • Traction ($50)
  • Commercial ($50)
  • Oilfield ($50)

Applying to Write an Exam

Each exam session is filled on a first come, first serve basis. A limited number of spots are available in each session. To apply to write an exam please submit form LIB - 2010 Application for Power Engineer Exams (available below), along with payment of the exam fee to the office that you wish to test at.  We must receive both the application form and fee payment before we are able to book you into a test date.

You may submit your form and fee in person, by mail or by fax.

Please note that exam fees are non - transferable and non - refundable.
