Quality Management Systems (QMS)
Application may be made to the Chief Inspector in accordance with the Saskatchewan Boiler and Pressure Vessel Act and Regulations for approval of a Quality Management System of Inspection. The application is made to obtain the Certificate of Authorization, which authorizes the holder to implement a quality management system approved by the Chief Inspector. This system should cover the pressure equipment from design, construction, installation, while in operation, being repaired or altered, inspections and decommissioning.
The Boiler and Pressure Vessel Act establishes a formal system for registration of QMS manuals and also establishes the Technical Safety Authority of Saskatchewan as the authority to register the QMS Manual submission.
