Executive Team

   William J Scott, CEO

William (Bill) Scott assumed the role of CEO of the Technical Safety Authority of Saskatchewan in January 2013.
 

Bill came to TSASK from a Regina based heavy equipment manufacturer where he was General Counsel. He also held various other senior management roles within that organization.  Prior to that, Bill worked in the private practice of law with an emphasis on litigation.

Over his career, Bill has gained extensive experience working with multiple stakeholders in the development and execution of strategic plans. His background has included the alignment of rapidly expanding organizations within a highly regulated environment, engaging colleagues with new ideas and working as part of a team to drive positive change.

Bill holds both a Bachelor of Arts and a Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan.
 


     
 

Chris Selinger, Chief Inspector
(Boiler & Pressure Vessels, Elevators and Amusement Rides)


Chris Selinger assumed the role of VP Operations & Chief Inspector at TSASK in November 2011.

Chris joined TSASK over 20 years ago and has spent time as a field inspector, Chief Examiner, design survey engineer and quality control program auditor. He was previously managing the Codes and Standards Compliance/Design Survey teams prior to this role.

Mr. Selinger is a Professional Engineer with a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Regina.
 


     
  Mike Anderson, Chief Inspector
(Electrical)

Mike Anderson assumed the role of Director & Chief Electrical Inspector at TSASK in February 2021.

Prior to assuming his role at TSASK, Mike was the Chief Electrical Inspector and Director of Electrical Inspections with SaskPower for over 10 years.  Previously, he worked in management for the City of Winnipeg Building and Electrical Inspections as well as at an Electrical and Mechanical Engineering consulting firm designing and managing Commercial and Industrial Electrical construction projects.

Over his 25+ years as a regulator, Mike has been actively involved in the national standards and provincial or local regulation enhancements for continually improved regulatory function.

Mr. Anderson is an Engineer with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Manitoba and is certified in Management and Administration from the Canadian Institute of Management.
 


     
 

Stephen Friedt, Chief Inspector
(Gas & Plumbing)


Stephen Friedt assumed the role of Chief Gas & Plumbing Inspector at TSASK in May 2021.

Stephen joined Gas Inspections in 2013 and has spent time as a field inspector in various districts throughout Saskatchewan. He was previously managing Gas Inspections North prior to this role. 

Mr. Friedt is a Interprovincial Journeyperson Plumber and General Gas Fitter.
 


     
  Kim Dumelie, V.P. Corporate Services & CFO

Kim Dumelie assumed the role of Vice President Corporate Services and CFO at TSASK in March of 2011.

Kim is responsible for TSASK’s financial planning, reporting, payroll and customer service. Prior to joining TSASK she was in various financial roles most recently, Director of Finance at Tourism Saskatchewan. 

Ms. Dumelie is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CMA) and a Project Management Professional (PMP).
