TSASK EXPANSION

Since being created in 2010, Technical Safety Authority of Saskatchewan (TSASK) has administered boiler, pressure vessel, elevator and amusement ride safety services on behalf of the Government of Saskatchewan.

The Government of Saskatchewan has now transfered additional responsibilities to TSASK. This includes:

  • Gas and Electrical Licensing from the Ministry of Government Relations
  • Gas and Electrical Inspections from SaskPower

The goal of the transfer is to provide the public and industry with a single point of contact for permitting, inspections and licensing of safety related services in the province.  The expanded organization will continue its efforts to expand communication between the regulator and stakeholder while providing a consistent service across all technologies.

Gas and electrical licensing transferred to TSASK August 1, 2020, permitting and inspections were transferred February 1, 2021.

Plumbing permitting and inspections were transferred to TSASK January 1, 2022.
