TRANSFER OF GAS AND ELECTRICAL LICENSING SERVICES

We are pleased to announce that Gas & Electrical Licensing services will be transferred to the Technical Safety Authority of Saskatchewan (TSASK) from the Ministry of Government Relations effective August 4, 2020.

The goal of the transfer is to provide the public and industry with a single point of contact for safety related services in the province. The expanded organization will continue its efforts to expand communication between the regulator and stakeholder while providing a consistent service across all technologies.

“We welcome the opportunity and the challenge that this expansion presents to TSASK,” said Bill Scott, CEO of TSASK.  “We look forward to welcoming new members to our team and to establishing relationships with a new group of stakeholders.”

Established in 2010, TSASK is a not-for-profit organization created to deliver safety programs related to pressure equipment, elevating devices, and amusement rides in the Province.

TSASK operates at arms-length from the Provincial Government while retaining a relationship with government through the Ministry of Government Relations.
