Engineered Composite Systems (ECS)
For information on the process for registration, installation and obtaining acceptance for the use of engineered composite Systems (ECS) in Saskatchewan see the TSASK-2021-04-01 Registration Process for Engineered Composite Systems (ECS) policy paper.
TSASK's policy paper on ECS is to be used in conjunction with ABSA's AB-539 Engineered Composite Systems for Pressure Equipment Alterations. The TSASK policy paper highlights the jurisdictional differences between Saskatchewan and Alberta and details the amendments that are required for using ECS in Saskatchewan.
ECS installation is to be documented on TSK-1017 Alteration Report for Installation of Engineered Composite Systems. Owners do have the option to have their company form recognized by TSASK in place of TSK-1017. This will be addressed in the owner's Quality Management System (QMS) program. The Policy paper and form are effective November 1, 2021.
