Transfer of Gas and Electrical Permits and Inspection Services
We are pleased to announce that on February 1, 2021 Gas & Electrical Permit and Inspection services transferred to the Technical Safety Authority of Saskatchewan (TSASK) from SaskPower.
The goal of the transfer is to provide the public and industry with a single point of contact for safety related services in the province. The expanded organization will continue its efforts to increase communication between the regulator and stakeholder while providing consistent service across all technologies.
“We welcome the opportunity and the challenge that this expansion presents to TSASK,” said Bill Scott, CEO of TSASK. “We look forward to welcoming new members to our team and establishing relationships with a new group of stakeholders.”
Established in 2010, TSASK is a not-for-profit organization created to deliver safety programs related to pressure equipment, elevating devices, amusement rides, and Gas & Electrical Licensing in the Province.
TSASK operates at arms-length from the Provincial Government while retaining a relationship with the government through the Ministry of Government Relations.
