Expansion

Since being created in 2010, Technical Safety Authority of Saskatchewan (TSASK) has administered industry safety services in Saskatchewan.

Gas and electrical licensing transferred to TSASK from the Ministry of Government Relations on August 1, 2020, while permitting and inspections were transferred from SaskPower on February 1, 2021.

Plumbing permitting and inspections were transferred to TSASK on January 1, 2022.

The goal of these transfers is to provide the public and industry with a single point of contact for permitting, inspections and licensing of safety-related services in the province.

The expanded organization will continue its efforts to maintain communication between the regulator and stakeholder while providing consistent service across all technologies.
