Effective Immediately
All Class A, B, and C elevator contractors are advised that an Elevator Quality Management System (EQMS) will be required to renew or obtain an elevator contractor licence.
The requirements for developing and implementing an EQMS are outlined in TSASK Info Paper PP-QMS- 2025-01. Contractors must ensure their program aligns with this document.
Key Dates and Requirements
September 2026
Contractors must submit their EQMS program manuals to TSASK for review and acceptance, based on PP-QMS-2025-01.
January 1, 2027
TSASK will provide feedback and consultation to ensure each contractor has a satisfactory program manual by this date.
2027 Implementation Period
Contractors will begin implementing their approved QMS.
